Zelestra, a renewable energy company, has begun construction on the two largest solar projects in the United States to date. EPC lead company McCarthy Building Cos. has started construction on the 253 MW DC Echols Grove project in Lamar County, Texas and the 188 MW DC Snow Pine Ridge project in Hopkins County.

Facebook's parent company Meta has signed power purchase agreements for these two projects. Both locations started construction in January 2026 and are expected to be fully operational commercially by the end of 2027. These projects will provide over 400 job opportunities for the local area in total. A total of 704000 double-sided components will be installed on 2400 acres of land.

Meta signed another power purchase agreement at Skull Creek Solar Power Plant in Zelestra, Texas in early February. Through Zelestra alone, Meta has a purchase agreement for 1.2 GW of DC solar power to support data center operations.
